October 28, 2009 | Filed Under Featured Interviews, Kayce Updates & Press Releases | Leave a Comment
One of our newest & most energetic Toronto models, Amy Hsu has undertaken a variety of different challenges in the field of modeling & entertainment since being introduced to the scene..KayceOnline.com recently caught up with Amy to chat about her life & upcoming projects..
Amy Hsu: Thanks! Well, I’m a full-time student at the University of Waterloo, so assignments and studying consumes most of my time during school.. During the summer, I work as a cashier at a pet’s store, because pets (especially dogs) are so incredibly precious and cute!
KayceOnline: Sap / puppy-lover alert! Now that we know you’re a softy at heart, tell us – if we could only know one thing about you.. what would you want us to know?
Amy Hsu: Hmm, I’d say that if the world could know only one thing about me, it would be that I’m eternally grateful for having my dad in my life. Without a doubt, he’s the reason I am who I am today. I love my daddy!
KayceOnline: I’m not gonna lie – that’s actually really sweet. Here’s a token “awwwwwwww” – how did you become introduced to the modeling industry in the first place?
Amy Hsu: Hahah, I guess it all started two years ago when I modeled for a fashion show at the University of Waterloo for fun. After that experience, I realized how fun and how natural being in front of the lens was to me. Modeling quickly became my passion.
KayceOnline: Any “crazy” modeling experiences to share so far in your career? Any memorable stories that stand out the most?
Amy Hsu: My craziest modeling-related story has to be getting my waist-long hair cut to just below my ears. I remember sitting in the chair and honestly, smacking me in the head for thinking that it’d be a good idea to chop my hair off for a photo shoot. Having had long hair for my entire life, I never realized it would be such a drastic change. I agreed only because I thought it’d be a great opportunity to work with an esteemed photographer and a creative hairstylist. I didn’t consider however, that it would probably take me three years to grow my hair back again. (Laughs.) Was it worth it? Probably not..
KayceOnline: Don’t speak too soon – short hair brings forth an appeal that most girls definitely can’t pull off, so there’s that! Have you thought about any short- or long-term plans with modeling & the entertainment business?
Amy Hsu: My current plans are to gain more experience and build a more complete modeling portfolio. Hopefully I’ll eventually see myself in print-ads all across Toronto! That would be awesome.
KayceOnline: That makes sense.. Since you’re still relatively early in “the game” at age 19/20 – have you thought about where you’d like to be in.. let’s say, 10 years?
Amy Hsu: In 10 years, if all things go according to plan, I should be happily married with two kids and settled down in a nice little house. I’m very traditional in terms of wanting to start a family, and I want nothing more in life than to have a stable career and loving kids.
KayceOnline: A girl like you settling down to raise a family? Wow. You don’t know it, but you just made yourself 10x more attractive with that statement.. While we’re on the topic, what would you say is your sexiest feature?
Amy Hsu: I’d have to say that my sexiest feature are my eyes, because unlike most Asians, I have long, full eyelashes (which thank God, makes my eyes bigger) and light brown eyes naturally.
KayceOnline: I can SEE that, haha. You’re definitely a natural beauty, now stop looking at me like that
Let’s make this more interesting – what turns YOU on the most about a guy?
Amy Hsu: Lips and shoulders turn me on the most I think. And, I like guys with pouty lips and muscular arms just as much as the next girl
This may be weird, but I have a thing for forearms and hands, and sexy abs don’t hurt either, haha.
KayceOnline: That sounds pretty specific eh? Have someone in mind already, or could I ask you out on.. Err, humour us for a bit – what would your ideal date be like anyways?
Amy Hsu: My ideal date would consist of roses and romance. The traditional dinner and movie, (and perhaps a nice walk around town), would suffice. The most perfect date I’ve ever been on was a surprise dinner date at the CN Tower – and I’m honestly not sure what would top that
KayceOnline: Dinner date at the CN Tower? Pffft, there’s still room for improvement.. or, a date with umm.. Sooo. Now that you’ve laid out your (high) standards, exactly how would an average guy be able to get YOUR attention?
Amy Hsu: I like the average guy for his ability to be average. There’s nothing specific that would grab my attention except maybe a nice smile, or confidence. I guess the most important thing is if a guy can make me laugh. That and charm, cause let’s face it – if a guy doesn’t have any game then where’s the fun in that? I generally like guys who are forward; if you can be confident enough to speak your mind, then you could be my type
KayceOnline:Average Joes with confidence and a little bit of personality – here’s your chance! Any final words to sweep us off our feet?
Amy Hsu: I can be sugar and spice, naughty but nice – there’s more to me than meets the eye
Once you get to know me, you’ll notice my little quirks, and although they may be weird sometimes, and you’ll realize that that’s what makes me.. me! I think the most important thing that can keep anyone grounded in this hectic world we live in is being true to themselves – that’s a goal I’ll always continue to strive for. I’m incredibly grateful for all the support thus far and I’m excited to see what else is in store for me! Be sure to check out my blog, “Unscripted Melodrama,” at http://missamyhsu.blogspot.com/ and I look forward to meeting everyone at future events!

Ten Questions with Kayce Model Amanda Aura (Vancouver) // 10.10.09 Interview
October 10, 2009 | Filed Under Featured Interviews, Kayce Updates & Press Releases | 1 Comment
One of our most active Vancouver models, Amanda Aura has been working hard in the past year, traveling extensively to work with photographers all over the globe, while also working on her new website.. KayceOnline.com recently caught up with Amanda to chat about her life & upcoming modeling projects..
Amanda Aura: As I’m typing this, I’m actually sitting in a coffee shop in Mexico lol! I’m here for a month on a couple different modeling jobs
KayceOnline: That sounds exciting indeed! So, tell us – if the world could only know one thing about you.. what would you want us to know?
Amanda Aura: That’s a toughy! I’d have to say out of everything I’d want people to know that I’m a SOLID chick. I don’t talk out of my ass, and I do what I say I will. I’m here for the people in my life where ever and whenever they need me. I try my hardest to be the best person I can be, and to be honest, trustworthy and loyal. I am so blessed to have the most amazing friends and family, who do nothing but unconditionally love and care for me even when I screw up. For that I am forever grateful and I will do nothing less then the same for them.
KayceOnline: You definitely seem like a pretty grounded kind of person – how did you become introduced to the modeling industry in the first place?
Amanda Aura: My first encounter to the modeling and entertainment industry was when I was 17. A gentleman approached me on the street when I was shopping downtown and he gave me his card. He told me he was a photographer and that he liked my look and wanted me to do a shoot for a car company. I took his card and emailed him the next day and that’s where my story began. I started off by doing the local car show called Driven to Perform and soon after that I started looking into modeling more seriously. I made various account on modeling websites, networked with other models and photographers, and soon fell in love with being in front of the camera!
KayceOnline: Any “crazy” modeling experiences to share so far in your career? Any particular memories that stand out the most?
Amanda Aura: To be honest I really don’t have one, none of them are “crazy” but they were all amazing in their own way. I usually meet the photographer before I work with them so if they turn out to be creepers, I just put “DNA” (do not answer) beside their name to remind myself! To date I’ve only ever done that with one photographer, and he still tries to contact me and schedule shoots! If you’re talking about “crazy” in a fun way well then that’s a different story! I’d have to say my trips with Tease Um have hands down been some of the best times of my life. Between the models and photographers you meet, the locations you shoot in- like Jamaica and the Bahamas, and the memories and experiences I’ve gained are ones I’ll keep with me forever. I love Tease Um!
KayceOnline: Mexico, the Bahamas, and Jamaica all in the past year? We’re officially jealous now. Now that everything’s taking off for you, what are your short- and long-term plans with modeling?
Amanda Aura: I personally plan on being in this industry for a long time. Everything about it, from meeting and networking with new people to traveling the globe is what excites me the most. My main short term goal is to get my website up and running and continuously add new photo sets for my fans to see. I love my fans, they are always there cheering and supporting me, and that means the world to me
KayceOnline: Sounds about right – just let us know, once you find that money tree k? On a serious note – you’ve done extremely well for yourself at a pretty young age, and in a relatively short amount of time in the industry – have you thought about where you’d like to be in.. let’s say, 10 years?
Amanda Aura: In ten years I will be 29 years old, HOLY! By that time my ideal situation would be married to a loving husband and to have kids, but to continuously keep in shape and continue with my modeling. I know I’m the kind of person who likes looking my best, and there is no way in hell I will let myself go after I have children. I personally could see myself doing fitness modeling and running my own business by this time, and hopefully if all goes well I’ll have that and more! I’m very optimistic and enthusiastic about life and I try to stay as positive as possible (even thought its not realistic 100% of the time) I believe in the secret and the laws of attraction, and what you believe you will achieve: D
KayceOnline: The secret and the laws of attraction eh? Sounds enticing. What would you say is your sexiest feature then?
Amanda Aura: I’d definitely have to say it’s a toss up between my eyes and my booty! I have light green eyes with yellow around my pupils so everyone tells me I have kitty cat eyes
My booty, well it’s just nice and big and round and who doesn’t love that?!
KayceOnline: We can’t answer that question in case our girlfriends are reading, so let’s just say you already have most guys’ laws of attraction down pat haha. Let’s flip it around – what turns YOU on the most about a guy?
Amanda Aura: Hmm, there are 2 different parts to this question. 1 – His appearance and confidence: I like men who take pride in the way they look, as I do myself. The first thing I do is look at the guy’s hands and shoes – those are the biggest indicators! If he’s got clean hands and shoes then he’s good to go! I like my men toned and muscular and I love the feeling of being small in their big arms, just something about it that turns me on. Eye contact is another big thing, if you can look me in the eye and tell me what you’re thinking it’s a total turn on. Being close enough to someone where you have the comfort to speak your mind and not feel judged or guilty is the best feeling in the world. 2 – His attitude towards life: I want my man to have some sort of inclination of where he wants to end up when he’s older. Someone with similar goals and aspirations in life; someone whose are willing to work hard for what they want. To be able to share my values and either have him approve or disapprove, but give me a good enough reason to why. I want someone I can grow with, someone I can experience life with and have memories and stories. One day…
KayceOnline: One day.. as in, one day, you’d let us take you out on a date? Yessss, let’s just run with that for now while the idea’s in our heads. Humour us – what would that ideal date be like?
Amanda Aura: Hahah, I’m not going to lie but I’m a simpleton. I would so much rather someone put effort and thought into a date then just take me to a restaurant and buy me dinner. Don’t get me wrong I still like that but it’s not my ideal. I’d LOVE it if a guy just packed a bag full of goodies and took me to the beach or a lookout point; lit some candles & we just sat on a blanket, ate, talked and cuddled all night long. Very simple but takes effort. Another amazing date would be doing something adventurous together! I’m an outdoorsy kind of girl and I’d NEVER say no to a good adventure- whether its rock climbing, zip trekking, skydiving or ATV’ing I’ll do it all! Adrenaline makes everyone feel good
KayceOnline: All the guys out there just sat up straight to read this next bit, so enough with the teasing – let’s give the fellas some hope. Exactly how would the average Joe be able to get YOUR attention?
Amanda Aura: Well, first off if I’m not attracted to them there’s nothing I can do. I have to be physically attracted to a guy for me to be interested. I mean it’s not like a guy is going to come up to me and bluntly say “hi, I want to be your friend” it just doesn’t happen like that. Usually if a random guy comes up to me, I’ll be nice about it. I’ll chat for a bit and that’s that. If they ask for my number I don’t go giving it out like its candy on Halloween. Most guys are selfish and they think of themselves and how “you” as a lovely young woman can benefit them in their lives. I wish guys were more “old school” and didn’t care about the number game and knew how to treat a real woman. TIPS OF ADVICE TO YOU MEN OUT THERE READING THIS: If you please your woman she will do ANYTHING & EVERYTHING to put a smile on your face! All it takes is a little bit of effort and appreciation to make the world go round. I can’t wait for the day that my knight in shining armour comes and sweeps me off my feet. That will be a great day!
KayceOnline: There you have it fellas – read & re-read this before you drop your next “line” to a pretty dame near you. On behalf of everyone, thank you for taking the time to sit down and catch up with us Amanda! All the best to you in your continued success, we’ll be looking forward to the release of www.AmandaAura.com in the near future!

Ten Questions with Pauline (Toronto) // 10.01.08 Interview
October 1, 2008 | Filed Under Featured Interviews, Kayce Updates & Press Releases | Leave a Comment
After being spotted prancing about the PASMAG booth at Importfest 2008, Pauline immediately captured our full attention in her debut shoot with us. KayceOnline.com recently caught up with one of Toronto’s sexiest new faces to chat about her life..
Pauline: Haha, my experience at Importfest 2008 was amazing! I had such a good time and met many wonderful people. It was my first time at Importfest, and I have to say it was the best car show I’ve been to in 2008.
KayceOnline: That’s always good to hear. How did you first get started as an Import Model?
Pauline: I started modeling at the beginning of the year and I did it just for fun. I got in contact with a modeling agency and was booked for my first car show. Since then, I’ve been booked for other major car shows as well as side jobs.
KayceOnline: Sounds like you definitely enjoy your work as a model. Do you have any short or long-term plans in mind when it comes to modeling?
Pauline: Right now, I’m still testing the waters, and I don’t know for certain how long I’d want to continue modeling. I hope to one day grace the cover of a magazine as a feature model though.
KayceOnline: That’s a pretty healthy approach to all this – which is rare considering the attention that is given to models. Outside of the entertainment industry, where do you see yourself in ten years?
Pauline: By then I’d hope to have a successful career, own my own home, be married, and be thinking about possibly starting a family.
KayceOnline: So in short, you’ll be a sexy, intelligent and successful career-oriented woman who’d take care of the family. I know I added the “sexy” part, but who’s keeping tabs? (Laughs.) Any other tidbits that’d make you even more likely to be our readers’ dream wife?
Pauline: Aww, well I can say that I’m a true romantic and that if I love someone, I’d give them everything that I have.
KayceOnline: Damn, that sounds too good to be true. Well, humour us at least – how would the average guy be able to get your attention?
Pauline: (Laughs.) Just by being himself! Making me laugh wouldn’t hurt either.
KayceOnline: Does making you laugh at me count? Coz I’m pretty good at that – ah never mind. So uhh, what turns you on the most about a guy anyways?
Pauline: A guy who is comfortable in his own skin, someone who is romantic, has a sense of humour, and is ambitious.
KayceOnline: Thanks, let me write that down in my little black book now. (Laughs.) Let’s flip it around for a second – what would you say is your sexiest feature? Why?
Pauline: I would probably say my lips, just because I think they are oh-so kissable!
KayceOnline: Sooo, what do you think of my chances so far? If you turn me down, can we at least be friends? That always seems to work when girls say it, haha.
Pauline: Well, you know all my secrets now. So I’m going to have to kill you.. (Laughs.) Or we can be friends =)
KayceOnline: Errr OK, I’d call that a respectful rejection – friends it is, haha. How are you keeping busy these days?
Pauline: Right now, I’m in my final year of my undergraduate studies so that takes up most of my time, and on top of that I work part-time. But, there’s always room for having fun!
KayceOnline: Of course – like doing this interview! (Laughs.) On behalf of our readers, I’d like to thank you for your time Pauline – all the best to you in your future endeavours!
